Client Profile:
Our client is one of the world leaders within the Pensions industry.

This position will be covering Midlands & South Eastern regions

Purpose:
• Project Manager responsible leading, directing and co-coordinating professional, technical and expert staff on 'big ticket' client transition projects including work stream leaders, administration and specialist technical business resource.
• Primary objective is to manage the delivery of the anticipated benefits of large projects. Principally this will be associated with the acquisition of 'big ticket' new business and the delivery of new clients to Operations efficiently such that effective administration is possible at the outset.
• Key role responsible at project portfolio level for significant contribution to shaping new business propositions including capturing, planning and signing off requirements with client and key internal stakeholders. This will involve working with other business disciplines to facilitate solutions and ensure a smooth and integrated process by which new business is transitioned.
• The role of Senior Transition Project Manager with report to the Programme Director and be involved with substantial project developments working at a senior level and is expected to directly prepare ongoing progress updates for presentation to the Pensions Administration Executive.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
• Project delivery in line with business objectives and future direction of the business e.g. standardisation projects,
• To manage the activities of project resource supporting 'big ticket clients' ensuring the deliverables are achieved on time and within budget. This includes communication on project activity with the client and addressing/escalating significant issues that arise,
• Identification and resolution of emerging conflicts and potential misunderstandings between project work streams.
• To ensure that concise and timely project update reports are circulated to relevant project stakeholders in advance of scheduled meetings,
• Manage the delivery of business improvement and change initiatives as identified from time to time;
• Promote the use of IT tools to deliver business solutions e.g. client interfaces, work management & reporting capabilities,
• Production of project plans, planning resource allocation and budgets in the delivery of projects. Other activities include:
o Actively managing workloads and priorities, determining capacity and planning with the Programme Director for ongoing activities;
o Ensuring that change projects are delivered in an efficient and effective manner and meet the demands of clients and the business;
• Receives and acts upon reports of progress from work stream leaders against plan and budget, and manages resource and finance accordingly,

Experience:
• Pensions background highly desirable
• Previous experience of leading and managing change programmes involving large numbers of people
