Financial Planning Administrator/Paraplanner, Bristol

Our client is seeking to recruit a Financial Planning Administrator and a Financial Planning Executive (Paraplanner).

Client Profile:
Our client are a Financial Services arm of major Accountancy Practise.

Financial Planning Administrator – 18,000 to 21,000

In order to apply for this position candidates MUST have FINANCIAL PLANNING EXPERIENCE GAINED WITHIN AN IFA.

Purpose of Role:
• To work as part of the department which offers Financial Planning advice to the Partners of the firm. To maintain client information accurately on financial planning software (First /Adviser Office).
• ensures that all financial planning client administration is carried out in accordance with the Firm's procedure
• produces appropriate written correspondence to providers and clients
• liaises with product providers to gain specific information including policy valuations and illustrations
• carry out file reviews and prepare documentation/reports for both client facing and non client facing paraplanner personnel in readiness for client meetings

Education and Qualifications/Experience (Essential);
• Maths and English Language at GCSE or equivalent
• FPC1& FPC2 or CF1 & CF2
Experience of using Microsoft packages, internet, email and First/Adviser Office
• Experience of working in an IFA environment

Financial Planning Executive/Paraplanner – 30,000 to 35,000

In order to apply for this position candidates MUST have PARAPLANNING experience, coupled with the FPC qualification or CFP.

Purpose of Role:
• To work as part of the team, effectively providing assistance to fee earners that meets or exceeds client expectations and supports the partner/manager team.
• researches product details and technical issues to provide appropriate recommendations to fee earners
• prepares reports and letters providing advice in accordance with the Firm's standards and compliance guidelines
• maintains client information accurately on financial planning software
• maintains client and Firm's files in a well presented, accurate and compliance manner
• is familiar with the Firm's best advice panels and the procedure for off-panel recommendations
• attends training courses as identified in order to develop both technical and personal skills and keeps records for CPD purposes
• adheres to the Firm's risk management policies
• takes responsibility for assigned areas, including having own work reviewed and works to time and budget
• maintain assignment files and identifies key issues early to discuss with manager
• carries out any other duties to meet with the needs of the business

Education and Qualifications/Experience (Essential):
• A-Level or equivalent
• FPC or Certificate in Financial Planning
• Progress towards AFPC or Diploma in Financial Planning
• Previous experience of working for a professional practice
